The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay has announced plans to create a destination package during the U.S. Open, June 11-17 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.
“Our resort is located just a short 30 minute drive up Highway One from the Tournament Headquarters. Being located outside of San Francisco, it is much less congested and much more convenient for guests to get in and out of the tournament from our Resort.” said Jay Heidenreich, Director of Sales and Marketing. “We’ve thought of everything including door to door car service and even unlimited golf when you get back to Half Moon Bay,” he continued.
The United States Open Championship, commonly known as the U.S. Open, is the annual open golf tournament of the United States. It is the second of the four major championships in golf, and is on the official schedule of both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. It is staged by the United States Golf Association (USGA) in mid-June, scheduled so that, if there are no weather delays, the final round is played on the third Sunday, which is Father's Day.
The US Open Golf Package includes Coastal View Accommodations at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, daily breakfast for two, valet parking, resort fee, daily roundtrip sedan service for 2 to and from the Olympic Club and unlimited golf after 5 p.m. for 2 persons at Half Moon Bay Golf Links. Package is available June 11-17 and a minimum night stay may be required. Package rates are $1420 per night. U.S. Open Championship tickets sold separately.
The Olympic Club is the host of The US Open Championship, a San Francisco, California athletic club and with three golf courses located at San Francisco's border with Daly City, Calif. All three courses are lined with many trees (almost 40,000 on the Lake course) and offer views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park. The United States Golf Association recognizes the Olympic Club as one of the first 100 golf clubs established in the United States.
