Jazz artist Branford Marsalis describes his favorite golf destinations at the Children's Charity Classic in Lexington, KY, summer 2011

When Fairways + Greens video host Mitch Laurance tracked down his friend and longtime jazz favorite Branford Marsalis at the 2011 Children's Charity Classic in Lexington, KY, little did he know he was dealing with a guy who can hold his own with any golf journalist in America when it comes to finding the heart of a good travel story. In fact, after listening to the Marsalis lay down a groove of knowledge and passion about our favorite sport, we'd love to find a spot on our contributors page for him. As a musician he's among the jazz genre's best, but he could have a second career here.

Watch as Marsalis says why he prefers Spyglass over Pebble, how it's tough to find a good massage on the road and how he times his swing to an inner rhythm only a true musical artist could hear.
