Central Texas is smokin’ hot this time of year, but among that huge state’s golf destinations, the Hill Country around Austin is as cool in spirit and fun as you can get, which makes for a perfect summer (or beyond) golf getaway at Lakeway Resort and Spa.
Offered through the end of the year, the Tee For Two package includes luxurious accommodations, breakfast for two in Travis Restaurant, 18 holes at either Live Oak Golf Course or Yaupon Golf Course, two buckets of balls for the driving range and golf cart.
Along with those two courses, Lakeway guests have access to four area courses including Flintrock Falls (collaboratively designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II) and Falconhead, which was laid out by PGA Tour Design architects.
The resort has also partnered with The Academy of Golf Dynamics which has a 500-yard learning center with target greens and three championship golf courses. On their teaching course guests learn on real fairways, bunkers, greens and rough.
Lakeway Resort and Spa is located on the shores of Lake Travis, 19 miles northwest of downtown Austin. In addition to golf, the resort also features the exclusive San Saba Spa, a marina, a multi-level resort pool complex with waterslides and whirlpool, a fitness center and three restaurants.
The one night package can be extended for longer stays.
